We are players and actors who design chainmail, leather armor, leather gear, medieval clothing, costumes for players and actors!
The raw materials are as good as those used in Occident, the know-how here and the tools, although more rudimentary,
give a medieval feeling, without disturb the performance of our craftsmen. They are german, french, italian, english
and of course indian. All of them are professional and some of them have won contest in Europe ( in Fair, dancing contests,...).
We are not a sweat shop !! Some of the workshop are in the fair trade world and no children works in our partner workshop.
All company in India are not like the TV wants to believe :=)

| What is the difference between Cotton and Heavy Cotton ? |
| Heavy cotton is woven with a thicker thread, also the mesh density ( mesh count) is higher.

b. light cotton [poplin] - 122 gms/sq. meter c. light cotton - 117 gms/sq. mtr

| I wish to cancel an order, How do I do? |
| You should inform about the cancellation through mail within 48 hrs after you make
the online payment. If you have used Paypal or Moneybookers, a 5% cancellation fee is charged. We are charges by these gateway for each
payment, hence the 5% charge. |

They are several mode of payment for your purchases:

This type of transfer is efficient if you communicate all information clearly, we advise you to make copy-paste, to print
it and give the paper to your banker! You will be able to transfer from Europe (Euroland), Great-Britain, United States, Canada, and Australia.
Note: Euroland people can proceed to a IBAN transfer on an account in France, it is more practical for them! Contact us!
You have to send us a mail with: the copy of your order ( Command Summary screen), your delivery address and the references of the transfer.

| It is a way to pay by Internet. You can create an account on their premises.

| After how many days will we received our stuff ? |
Before sending the medieval products, we await the payment.
But during this time, we launch the production if we do not have your purchase in stock because
we're trusting you!
You will received the parcel regarding the delivery mode you have chosen. The fastest is SPEEDPOST, it
takes 5 to 8 days to arrive in your house. After there is AIRMAIL, it will takes 15 to 20 days to arrive at home.
And SAL ( SEA AIR LAND ), 28 to 30 days. At last, SEAMAIL, economical but looonnnnngggggg ( 2 to 3 months ).
If you are stressed by time (as often before a Larp!), please send us a
mail to require an estimate of the length of the delivery.
Time of production depends on the products. Roughly, it is 8 days for all stuff except tent and chainmail( 1 month ). Obviously, it
can be more if you place a large order ! Some items are in stock and we are developping this practice as we received more and
more orders and sometimes, there is a queue. Honestly, we do our best but remember that we are working with crafstmen and
not factory. They are protected by social laws, which is for the best. They can't work all the night for example...
To receive fast, here is the way: pay by Paypal or Moneybookers, ask SPEEDPOST and choose a product in stock !
As you can understand, we will wait to received the bank transfer or to have verified the check before to send the stuff,
you will easily understand why…
Contact us about faster international shipping, if even speed post isn't quick enough.

| What is the winner strategy? |
| You order products by adding them to the cart. At the time of the "check out", you
will have to choose a mode of delivery. The shipping costs of will be displayed below the price of the goods, depends on which
mode of delivery you have chosen, which will give the total cost. This shipping costs depends on the country of delivery.
But the more you order, the less the transports costs will be. Indeed, you will spread one relatively stable cost of transport
over a greater number of products. For example, when you will order a shirt, the amount you have to pay is almost the same
if you order three of them! When we send even one cap, IndiaPost asks for a fixed price which does not depend on the weight
for the first light product. Thus one can put three caps in this fixed price without problem or... just one.

| Ouahh ! Your costs of delivery are so high !!! |
First of all, shipping from India is not so much, considering the distance.
We DO NOT give offer nice prices to attract you and charge the money back on the delivery costs !
If you want check the delivery costs, please ask us the website (IndiaPost).
We offer you some fast delivery ( 5 to 8 days, it is good in India ! ), normal delivery ( 15 to 20 days ), good value
for money delivery ( 28 to 30 days ) and economical and slow ( 2 to 3 months ).
It is up to you after... But you can't get: a cheap price, a cheap cost of delivery and a fast delivery.
We are aware of the relatively lowcost of transport within Europe, USA, Canada,
Australia,... But remember that we deliver from India ! We know that if you buy one clothes product ( let's say a shirt ),
you will loose the low price advantage because of the cost of the transport if you want a fast delivery.
Two solutions:
- as we have said previously in the FAQ, command several products,the cost of delivery will be spread.
- or go through Airmail, less expensive ( same price than occidental posts ) and just two times longer than Speedpost
Now, for other products less "basic" than shirt ( capes, gambison, Renaissance Dress, leather, chainmail ), even if
you go through Speedpost, you'll keep a real total cost advantage ! |

| What kind of return policy do you have? |
| You can return anything unused within 30 days for a refund or exchange, whichever
you prefer. Return postage charges are the responsibility of the customer and we recommend that any returns be insured for the
full purchase price. |

| What are your shipping methods? |
| We ship orders by Speedpost, which is quick and safe ( by plane ).
We can send also with Airmail or Seamail. All this mode of delivery are offered by IndiaPost. Please note that for many countries,
you can now track your parcel with the magic number, only with Speedpost. In the next month ( april 2006 ), we will integrate
a Courier service, FedEx most probably. |

| What about customs tax or VAT ? |
Sometimes packages may be delayed by international customs.
If there is delay in the shipping ( more than 1 week ), you should contact your postal administration
( IndiaPost works with other National Posts ) and enquire about your products. Please contact us as well as we can of course
enquire on our side.
When the Customs officers are interested by a parcel ( very rarely for the moment with us ), they keep it and can take
some time to send the administrative papers to the Post Office and ultimately to you ! Or when it is kept by customs, you pay
every day some few fees ( around 1 Euro ).
This is unfortunately beyond our control. If you have any specific instructions for us to help your
packages clear customs more quickly, please tell us by mail. Note that the prices on the site does not
include customs tax or possible VAT. You have to accept the possibility that you can pay duty tax or VAT
even if it is absolutely not sure and we repeat rare till now.
For EUROPE
If the value of the products is below 22 Euros, no charges. Otherwise, you may have to pay tax and VAT.

For leather: 5% / Costumes: Cotton = 0% ; Wool = 0% / Chainmail = 2.7% . Low rates because the products come from
India and it is a way to help the process of development. VAT depends of the country, it is around 17% of all the value:
products, duty tax and transport.
For USA: more difficult to understand ! It seems that there are very low Duty Tax ( around 4% ) , especially
if it comes from a third-country. There is no VAT but there can be some local tax ( around 4% ), depending on the
State.

| Concerning the Shipping... |
| Malefosse.com assures you the Best Quality Product only.
Products are well checked before to be protected in a strong packing by our Shipping team . If the parcel
arrives in a state obviously damaged (soaked, inserted, burned! ), make sure to document that on the shipping manifest.
You must inspect the Goods on receipt. We are not responsible for damage incurred in shipping.
If your package is damaged in transit, you must save all packaging materials and contact the carrier
immediately. DO NOT RETURN THE PACKAGE TO US, but do contact us and let us know there is a problem so
that we may follow up with the carrier. If possible, take a photograph of the damaged package, as this
can assist in the claims process. Should an incorrect address be supplied for the goods to be shipped to,
resulting in their return, then you shall remain liable to pay the return shipping costs at the original cost.
Malefosse does not accept any liability for failure of delivery via our shipping contractors.
If you want to insure your parcel, please contact us before paying. We will do the necessary and give you all the informations.
